Autumn Ridge’s concept artist, Forest Meador, says, “Since the school district is in the Houston area, and oil is one of that area’s primary economic resources, I decided to add oil as one of the theme concepts. For the column wraps, it made sense to me to show a column of rock with an exposed drill, which represents how we get the oil out of the ground. For the second column, an oil silo best shows how we keep the oil once it is extracted from the ground. For the centerpiece and break-out seating area, I utilized two oil pipes raised above the ground, with padding seating on top, to represent how we get the oil from one location to another.”
